The cylindrical air filter is commonly referred to as a "replacement air filter". It installs in the vehicle's original air box to replace the OEM air filter. The air filter is made of high-performance materials that allow increased airflow combined with more efficient filtration, guaranteeing the containment of all contaminants as small as 7 microns (compared to 10 microns of the OEM).

BMC air filters are manufactured using a "Full Molding" system that allows the distinctive red filter to be made from a single mold with no welds, avoiding easy breakage. The rubber used in BMC air filter systems has a long service life, is very durable and has optimal adhesion properties for all types of air boxes. Sports air filters from BMC provide approx. 40% more air flow than conventional paper air filters and thus reduce the resistance for the air flowing through. to achieve maximum performance without compromising filter performance.

BMC filters consist of a multi-layer cotton gauze impregnated with low-viscosity oil and covered with an epoxy-coated alloy mesh for protection against gasoline vapors and oxidation from atmospheric moisture.

All BMC air filters are pre-oiled and can be washed and regenerated with the appropriate regeneration kit / cleaning kit.
