The reinforced pressure cell for the internal wastegate of the original turbocharger is required for all output levels from 400hp.

The OEM wastegate in the Ford Focus is equipped with a spring that is too soft and is pressed by the exhaust back pressure when the load is high. As a result, the programmed desired boost pressure can no longer be achieved at higher speeds and boost pressures. The reinforced pressure box IWG-75 from Turbosmart has a stronger spring and an opening pressure of 0.83 bar. It is characterized by reliability and performance. This pressure cell is made of sintered aluminum. Thanks to the special gasket / insulation, the wastegates are able to withstand particularly high temperatures at high pressure and, in addition, enable extremely precise boost pressure control.

This reinforced pressure cell is required on the Ford Focus RS Stage 2.

Attention: Software adaptation is mandatory. The pressure cell without software adaptation brings no performance increase.
